if Disney made Doctor Who, i am pretty sure no one would die. and if they did die, they would probably bring the character back somehow (power of friendship maybe? (eww, no) and hopefully not in a Supernatural manner. i.e. demon deal) sort of like they did in the Black Cauldron

This is such a big moment for the tenth Doctor. Throughout all of his seasons he wears his emotions on his sleeves, letting lots of little things get to him. Finally, he shows strength here because he is not willing to let her die. He’s lost Rose (again), Martha, and Donna at this point. He will not let someone else die, even if that means violating the laws of Time and Space.
This is a major moment that we really see why the Daleks fear the Doctor. This is where we see why he’s The Oncoming Storm.
i literally said “what’s gotten into you?” when i saw Ten like this. Because this Ten was not the man that i first fell in love with on the show. i (and others) could tell that something in him changed at this point. and it genuinely freightened me
